During World War II, France was occupied by Nazi Germany. The country was divided into two halves. The North was completely Nazi-occupied, forcing the people into their government. The South was a puppet government, but they happily supported the Nazis. When the Allies invaded, they had to fight French soldiers.

All I need to do now is contribute art to Sherlock and Supernatural, then I have stepped into every major fandom.
